John Dawson Associates is an independent, full service insurance agency offering to auto, home, life, health and business coverage. We’ve built our reputation on stable, long term relationships with our clients, some of whom have been with us for more than four decades. Our clients don’t have to worry about their coverage, because we’re constantly looking out for them, making sure their insurance policies fit their unique needs.

 

Our Team

Kelly Endicott I started working with John Dawson Associates in 1984. I’m a Mom to 3 boys and a sister to 3 brothers so as you can imagine I’m a bit of a tom-boy and a major sports fanatic! I play volleyball in a few competitive leagues around Columbus and I’m a baseball Mom so that keeps me busy. I was born and raised in Columbus and a big OSU BUCKEYE fan! College football, volleyball and March Madness are at the top of my list when it comes to sports! I love spending time with my family whether it is just hanging out, spending holidays or taking our beach vacation to the Outer Banks together. I’ve been married for 22 years to my husband, Curt who is a service tech for Pepsi. I’m a major dog lover as well and have two Yorki-chons named Dixie and Daisy (I had to get 2 girls to help balance things out in our house!). The beach, the volleyball court and being surrounded by my close friends and family are all my happy places and what I love most. I’ve been a service agent, agency manager and am now a co-owner with Mark so my goal is to make sure things are running smoothly and that our customer service is always on point.!

Mark Lawrence I’ve been with the agency since 2009 as a sales agent and am now a co-owner of the agency. I am originally from Indiana and graduated from Hanover college in 1986. I have been married to my wife, Dana for 30 years now and we have 2 grown children. I have been in the insurance industry for 32 years now and been living in Columbus for 25 years. We have been members of the Grace @ Polaris church since 1990. I enjoy all sports and played 3 sports in Highschool & College. I enjoy traveling, running, golf and spending time together with my family.

John W Dawson III I love what I do and love that I can continue doing it. I graduated from THE Ohio State University many years ago with a major in insurance, which most people didn’t even realize was an option. My wife Ellen and I have been married for over 54 years and we have two grown children. We love to travel whenever we can and often spend time with them in Colorado and California. I’m a golfer, tennis player and a Buckeye fan. I have spent the last 50+ years providing for the insurance needs of my clients and growing the agency with the help of my awesome staff which now numbers 18. While most would have retired by now, I am still looking forward to who I can help next with their insurance needs.

Teri Glass I am one of the John Dawson Associates originals, so everyone here is like family to me. I’ve raised 3 wonderful boys and am grateful that each of them lives right here in Columbus. Currently, the apple of my eye is my grandson who has me wrapped around his little finger. I am passionate about traveling with my friends and family, planning get-togethers and the Ohio State Buckeyes! If you see a woman with three Dachshunds following behind, it might be me! Buddy, Lacey and KC are part of our family. I love this breed of dog and have been known to foster the occasional Dachshund in need. Making people laugh is one of my specialties and I consider myself very fortunate to have a job that incorporates having fun with helping people.

Karen Miccinilli I started working here back in 1983 so I’ve grown up at John Dawson Associates. Miccinilli is my married name and over the last 28 years, I have slowly but surely become an honorary Italian. We have many happy memories built around Ohio sports. Our son and daughter have grown up watching them all, including the Buckeyes, Cavaliers, Blue Jackets and yes, even the Browns! My husband and I love listening to local bands on the weekends and our favorite thing is visiting the gulf coast of Florida to spend time with our family. We also have an attack cat (at least she thinks she is), named Bella or as we like to call her “Bella Da Kiki”.

Kathy Watt I am Kathy Watt, a sales agent with John Dawson Associates. I have been married for 35 years, am a mother of 2, and a grandmother of 2. Grandchildren have changed my life, so whenever possible I travel to Springboro, OH to enjoy them. I attended The Ohio State University and majored in Accounting and have received my CPA designation. I like to travel, especially to Florida. Hobbies are baking, watching sports, and family time.

Jamie Kline I started my career with John Dawson Associates in 2003 as a Customer Service Agent. As the Mom of 5 my life stays hectic. Sporting events dominate our calendar all year long. We have a baseball players, swimmers, volleyball & softball players and my husband is the head baseball coach at our local high school. As you can imagine our schedule is hectic. We love our OSU Buckeyes & Cleveland Indians. My hobbies include running and baking, those are my go-to options to keep myself calm amid the chaos of our crazy schedules. I love spending time watching my kids do what they love to do. Family is really the most important thing to all of us!

Connie Hale I have been working at John Dawson Associates since 2004 but have been in the insurance industry since 1986. Once upon a time, when there were telephone operators, I did that too! Suffice it to say I have some great stories. I’ve been with the same guy for 59 years. We raised 2 daughters and then shared in the joy of watching our 3 granddaughters growing up as well. My husband and I are now the proud great-grandparents of 3 adorable children, so we feel very blessed and love spending time with them. In my spare time, I love to sew and watch Hallmark movies (especially the Christmas ones!).

Kimberly Temple I started working with John Dawson Associates in 2004 after working in my father’s agency for 27 years. I have lived in Columbus Ohio my entire life. I have been married 37 years and have 2 grown children, and 4 grandchildren (so far). Our family is very close, and we love spending time together going on vacation to the beach, cheering on the grandkids at Football & Baseball games and just hanging out. I love reading books so keeping my Kindle batter charged is a must! My current role in the agency is a Commercial Service Agent and my goal is to keep the commercial clients happy by handling their insurance needs. I really enjoy getting to know the clients when I talk to them and I want them to feel comfortable with call me anytime.

Tyler Richardson My name is Tyler Richardson and I have been a sales agent at JDA since 2012. I have an incredible wife Meagan and two amazing young kiddos. When not spending time with family you will find me playing ice hockey, watching the NFL, and playing video games. Born in Perrysburg, Ohio, I migrated to Columbus in 2002 to study at The Ohio State University, majoring in Music Business. I was the lead singer/writer of a band called Sighlo for 7 years and most recently was the band manager/co-writer for Liberty Deep Down. Fun facts: My grandfather, Carlos Córdova, fought in Normandy on D-day and was one of only 5 in his squadron to survive. He was later shot in the brain by a sniper in the Battle of the Bulge – he ended up living until 91 years old! His father, Andrés Córdova, was president of Ecuador – of which my family and I have visited on several occasions. My clients are my first priority, my prospects are my second.

Tim Whalen I graduated from the College of Wooster in 1974 and went on to work for Prudential before starting the Whalen Insurance Agency in 1979. I recently sold that agency and merged with John Dawson Associates. I’m currently an active member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and was a past board member as well. I live in Dublin, Oh with my wife Judy. I enjoy golf, traveling and spending time with my grandchildren all 14 of them, but maybe not all at the same time. I am a huge Buckeye, Bluejackets and all Cincy sport teams fan! I’m currently working as a sales agent here as well as tending to my long-time client base.

Maureen Minor I started working with insurance back in 1989 with a national carrier, State Farm and moved to Whalen Insurance in 1995 where I enjoyed being a part of the agency family for many years. Over the years I have built many friendships. We don’t just have clients, we have friends. We merged with John Dawson Associates in 2017. I am happy to have joined the Dawson Team and settled into my new home. I have 2 children (3 if you count Tim, my husband of 32 years). I have a beautiful daughter, Shannon here in Powell and a son, Dalton who is currently in the Army reserve waiting for his active status. I’m mama to a 13-yr. old long-haired dachshund, Cleo that has stolen my heart and a crazy Tiger cat named Mason. Originally, I wanted to name him pyscho, but the kids would not allow it. Now they agree that was a better name choice for him. LOL! I have been and always will be a baseball mom. I love watching Jonathon Alder sports and spending time with my immediate family, baseball family and vacationing with my family every year at the North Myrtle Beach. See the pattern here? Family is everything to me!! I hail from eastern Ohio from a very small town called Barton where everyone knows everyone or is related in some way. You could not get away with anything in that town!! Currently, I reside in Plain City where there is still much of that small-town feel. I know this is not popular, but I am a Michigan Wolverine fan at heart. Some Buckeye fans get a little testy in November but it’s ok - I can take it! Here at John Dawson Associates I am a customer service and verification representative. William Kirchner William is a lifetime resident of Columbus and is new to the insurance industry. His previous experience is in the restaurant industry so his customer service skills are top notch! He will be working as our newest Customer Service Agent in the Personal Lines Department.

Janet Fife Over a year ago, I started working as the Receptionist, aka VP of First Impressions, at John Dawson Associates and I am really enjoying my work here. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kenny for 36 years. I have 2 children and am loving my new role as Grandmother. In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks, exercising and spending time with family and close friends. My church is also a significant part of my life. Brad Gaglione Brad joined John Dawson Associates 2021 and specializes in commercial insurance, coming from 24 years in the Insurance Industry. As a former Commercial Underwriter, he brings his passion of helping others to protecting business owners and their businesses. He takes pride in working to tailor specialized programs to fit each client’s specific insurance needs. Away from work you will find me on my mountain bike or relaxing playing Video Games.
